Abstract

Superlattices have provided a powerful tool for manipulation of the electronic and transport properties of materials. For this reason, since its first experimental realization, the effects of a superlattice structure in graphene is a topic of intense research. This seminar is divided into three parts. First, I will talk about a graphene superlattice with a Levy-type disorder, where a novel standard-anomalous localization transition was obtained [1]. Second, I will demonstrate that a Fermi-velocity barrier can be used to control the valley transport in graphene, being able to create a perfect valley filter [2].
Finally, I will consider the localization-delocalization transition in incommensurate graphene superlattices in a (quasi-)periodic Bloch model [3].
